Stay InfoRoom type：Deluxe Queen RoomStay nights：1 night# of people：2 peopleI decided to stay at the “Viejas Casino & Resort” because I have stayed here a several times and am always able to make good memories. This hotel is famous for its Thanksgiving Day buffet, and it is always very crowded, but I stayed on a different day but still was able to have the Thanksgiving Day buffet. There is also a casino and a gym and I was looking forward to spending a relaxing holiday at this hotel.

It was raining on the day I stayed, but there was a roof in front of the entrance, so I was able to get into the hotel without getting wet.
There were bellmen standing at the entrance.
There was a flower decorated at the entrance. There was a casino at the back.
There was a front desk on the right.
It was not a big desk.
There was a sitting area by the front desk.

There was fruit water in the water that guests can drink freely.

What is the Deluxe Queen Room like?
Guest room entrance door
There were dark furnitures used in the room creating a chic atmosphere. There were two queen size beds prepared. The beds were clean, the springs were in good conditions and the curtains were blackout curtains, so I was able to sleep very well. However, the walls were thin, so I could here the sound of TV and people staying next door arguing.
There was a TV and desk across the bed.
There were drawers under the TV.
An armchair.
The room seen from the window.
The view from my room was only of the parking lot. However, the room which my parents were staying in had a nice view of the pool, so I recommend booking a room facing the pool.

There was a sink and shower in the same room.
The shower room was big with a glass door. The shower head was fixed on the wall and the water pressure and temperature were just right.
There was a place to sit in the shower room.
There was a toilet with a door.
The mirror above the sink had lights on the side and was very bright.
There was also a magnifying mirror.
Hand soap
There was shampoo, conditioner, body soap and body lotion prepared on the sink. They were all in a stylish container.
There was also a toothbrush, razor and a hair dryer.

There was a small closet with extra blankets, bathrobes, iron and an ironing board prepared inside. It was rainy and cold on the day I stayed, so me and my husband both had thick jackets, but there was not enough space to hang anything other than the jackets.

There was a cafe corner on the cabinet next to the TV.
There was a coffee machine, paper cups, two free bottles of water and Starbucks coffee capsules. I was thrilled to have Starbucks coffee in the room.

“The Buffet at Viejas”
Dinner was served buffet style.
There were many dishes lined up on the counter.
I was surprised by how gorgeous the menu was.
This is the “Ginger Noodle Bar.”
I had shrimp egg rolls, vegetarian spring rolls, hot and sour soup, pho and appetizer for lunch. The price was very reasonable.
I had breakfast at “The Cafe at Viejas.” The steak and chicken were very big.

There was an outdoor pool, but it was closed during winter season.
There were chair by the pool.
The pool was closed, but it was still lit up at night.
There was a gym, but there was hardly anyone using it. It was big and clean and I was able to exercise comfortably.
There was also a business center with computers and printers.

Hotel Surroundings
There was only a casino and an outlet mall around the hotel. It was very dark at night. You can call an UBER or a LYFT, so it was easy to get around places. However, it would be more convenient if you had a car. I enjoyed the casino and the outlet mall, so I stayed around the hotel.

Staff and Guests
Both the staff and housekeepers were friendly and greeted me in the hallways. The front staff were very professional and checked me in smoothly.
There were many adults and elderly people staying at this hotel. I also saw a group of Chinese tourists. It is a hotel with a casino, so there seemed to be many wealthy people staying.

Access
The hotel is located about 45 minutes away from San Diego International Airport. There was a shuttle that goes from San Diego downtown area to the casino. This area was an Indian reservation and an area with a unique security police making it feel more like a safe area. There is an outlet across the hotel with many high-end brands.

Summary
The room was stylish and fashionable, but it was not big enough and was a little dark. However, my stay itself was very enjoyable. All the restaurants were nice and I had a great time with my family. I enjoyed going to the casino and using the money I won to go shopping at the outlet mall. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Next year would like to request for an upgrade so that I can have a room with a view of the hotel.
